Met office predicts light to moderate rain
DHAKA, Aug 20, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Metrological Department today
predicted that light to moderate rain with thunder showers is likely to occur
at most places over the country as a low pressure area has formed over
Northwest Bay.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram
divisions; at many places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattagram divisions and
at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at few places
over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions,” said a met office release here today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.4 degree
celsius at Sylhet and the lowest one today was recorded 23.4 degree celsius
at Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was
recorded by 143millimeters (mm) at Teknaf.
Today’s sunset at Dhaka at 6:28 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise at 5:37 am.
