DHAKA, Aug 19, 2020 (BSS) – The National Moon Sighting Committee will sit in a meeting tomorrow evening to fix the date of holy Ashura and review reports of moon sighting of the holy month of Muharram of 1442 Hijri.
The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office at 7:15pm after Maghrib prayers, with secretary of religious affairs Md Nurul Islam in the chair, said a press release.
People are requested to report to the committee, or the Deputy Commissioner or Upazila Nirbahi Officer of the concerned district over the following phone and fax numbers on sighting of the moon from any place of the country.
The telephone numbers are: 9555947, 9556407, 9558337 and 9559493 while the fax numbers are: 9563397 and 9555951.
