KHULNA, Aug 19, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested an active member of the banned militant outfit ‘Allahr Dal’ from Fultala upazila in the district last night.
On secret information, a special team of RAB conducted drives at Bezerdanga Railway Station area under Fultala station around 10.00pm and arrested Mohammad Liton Hossain, 30, son of Shakawat Hossain, a resident of Gorpara village under Sharsha upazila in Jashore, a RAB press release said today.
The RAB also seized different leaflets on militancy and others important organizational documents from his possession, the press release said.
In the preliminary interrogation, the arrested Liton confessed to RAB that he received membership from Matin Mehedi, a regional leader, of ‘Allahr Dal’ on December 2019.
He started his activities shortly after getting membership of the organization side by side running his hair cutting business in the area, the press release added.
Earlier, on July 4, RAB arrested two operatives of banned ‘Allahr Dal’ along with leaflets and other documents from Khulna.
