7 drug peddlers arrested in Manikganj
MANIKGANJ, Aug 18, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested seven drug peddlers and users in separate special drives in Manikganj Sadar and Saturia upazilas on Sunday and Monday.
Police also recovered 450 pieces of yaba tablets and 22 bottles of phensidyle from their possession, police sources said today.
The arrested were identified as Razzob Ali, 24, of
Saturia upazila, Md. Shahinur Islam, 23, of Borundi village under Manikganj sadar upazila, Foroj Kabir, 37, of Orzunalai village and Shamim Rana, 26, of Indara village under Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka district, Rajib Hossain, 25, of Boiragirchar village under Kustia district and Nure Alam, 30, of Shoilan village and Mizanur Rahman, 27, of Maldohopatti village, who were hailed from Dinajpur district.
Cases were filed under the Narcotics Control Act against the arrested persons, the sources added.
