DHAKA, Aug 18, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Chattogram and Barishal divisions,” said a Met Office release.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.2degrees Celsius at Ishurdi in Rajshahi and minimum temperature today 23.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 142 millimeters (mm) at Sitakunda in Chattogram.
The sun sets at 6.29 pm today and rises at 5.36 am tomorrow in the capital.
