KHULNA, Aug 17, 2020 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder
Abdul Khaleque said everything will be done to remove water logging problem
from the city.
“KCC will do everything accordingly to remove water logging problem from
the city and make it green, clean and modern city,” he said while addressing
a meeting at the KCCs conference room yesterday afternoon.
KCC engineers, representatives of Development Design Consultancy Ltd
(DDCL), consultancy organization of the project and a team of Khulna
University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) attended the meeting.
Any development work would not be completed overnight, he said, adding
that coronavirus pandemic has delayed the development works since last five
months.
“Construction works of modern drainage system already have started. The
works might be completed as per scheduled time if all concerned stakeholders
performed their respective duties properly,” he said.
KCC’s chief executive officer (CEO) Palash Kanti Bala, chief engineer Md
Ezaz Morshed Chowdhury, executive engineer Liakat Ali Khan, KUET’s professor
Dr Md Harun-Ur-Rashid and Professor Dr Md Shajahan Ali, among others,
attended the meeting.
