NETRAKONA, Aug 17, 2020 (BSS) – State minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said general Zia and his wife Khaleda made Razakars and collaborators as cabinet colleagues and socialized them by hoisting the national flag on their vehicles.
“General Zia and his spouse Khaleda Zia during their regimes rehabilitated anti-liberation forces – – -both the rulers appointed leaders of Razakars, anti-liberation forces including Shah Aziz and Nizami as the ministers and destroyed the spirits of the liberation war by providing them scope for hoisting national flag on their cars” Khasru also a renowned freedom fighter said.
The state minister said this while participating as chief guest in a discussion meeting on “national mourning day” held at Netrakona press club this afternoon
The press club organized the meeting to mark the 45th martyrdom anniversary of father of the nation and National Mourning Day.
Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Kazi Abdur Rahman, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Superintendent of Police, Netrakona Akbar Ali Munshi, Mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, Additional District Magistrate Abdullah-AL- Mahmud, Organizing Secretary of district Awami League Iftekharuddin Masud and Office Secretary of district Awami League Mazharul Islam, Assistant Teacher of Datta high school Purnendu Bikash Paul, Vice President of Netrokona press club Abdul Hannan Ranjan and General Secretary Shyamolendu Paul.
Criticizing general Zia and Khaleda Zia for patronizing anti-liberation forces and plotting to destroy the spirit of the liberation war, Khasru said, the anti-liberation forces led by Zia and Khaleda Zia hatched deep-rooted conspiracy to delete the name of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the country’s history.
“But now their all efforts come in vain as the name of Bangabandhu remains in the hearts of the teeming million, “ he added.
