AL’s discussion marking countrywide series bombings tomorrow
DHAKA, Aug 16, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) will hold a discussion in observance of ‘the anti-terrorism and militancy day’ tomorrow marking the countrywide series bombings on August 17 in 2005.
Like every year, Dhaka city north and south units of Awami League (AL) will jointly organize the discussion at AL’s central party office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue at 11am, said an AL press release here today.
The series bomb blasting took place at about 500 spots in 63 districts across the country on August 17 in 2005 during the BNP-Jamaat regime. Since then, AL has been observing the day as ‘the anti-terrorism and militancy day’.
