UGC, Janata Bank sign MoU for house building loan
DHAKA, August 16, 2020 (BSS) – University Grants Commission (UGC) and Janata Bank today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate loan under government’s house building loan policy.
UGC’s teachers, officers and employees will get the house building loan from Taka 20 lakh up to Taka 75 lakh at a 5 percent simple interest. Besides, the government will pay the remaining 4 percent interest in twenty years.
UGC Secretary (Current Charge) Dr Ferdous Zaman and Md Sazzad Hossain, Manager at Janata Bank UGC Bhaban Branch signed the agreement at UGC on behalf of their respective organizations, said a UGC press release.
UGC Member Professor Dr Muhammed Alamgir, Janata Bank Deputy Managing Director Md. Ismail Hossain and officials concerned were present.
