Bangabandu symbolizes fair right, equality and democracy: Murad Hasan
JAMALPUR, Aug 15, 2020 (BSS) – Describing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the epitome of democracy and a strong voice for the exploited and downtrodden, State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan today said Bangabandhu had always fought for fair rights and equality of the people and democracy as well.
“Bangabandhu’s position was always in favour of fair right, equality and democracy as he had opposed injustice throughout his life”, said the state minister as the chief guest while participating in a discussion and prize-giving ceremony to mark the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu at Sarishabari upazila here.
Bangladesh was created at the cost of the blood of Bangabandhu and the people of the country, said Dr Murad, adding that the history of the country has not been written in a day. The history of the country has been created by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he added.
Bangabandhu was the sole man who had materialized the dream of the nation and got them united with his love and affection, he added.
Recalling the activities of the Prime Minister, Dr Murad Hasan said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to implement a happy and prosperous country as dreamt by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shihab Uddin Ahmad, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Abul Kalam and Upazila Awami League president Sanowar Hossain Badsha, among others, attended the programme.
