100 more positive tests for coronavirus, four die in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 15, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 100 people were tested
positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after diagnosing 746
samples at five COVID-19 laboratories in Chattogram district.
Among the newly infected patients, 77 were from Chattogram city and
23 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
The total number of infected patients now stands at 15,776 in
Chattogram district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of
Chattogram, told BSS today.
Among them, 11,243 are the residents of the port city and the rest
4,533 are the inhabitants of different upazilas of the district.
The number of people recovered from the lethal virus rose to 3,475
with recovery of 42 more people in last 24 hours.
“A total of 3,475 coronavirus patients recovered so far and the
percentage of recovery rate stands at 22 percent in the district,” Dr
Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, added.
A total of 5,003 infected patients are undergoing treatment at
isolation units of different hospitals in the port city, while 7,044
are undergoing treatment in isolation at their respective homes in the
city and district, he added.
