DHAKA, Aug 15, 2020 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen today paid his rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujubur Rahman by placing wreath at the Bangabandhu Corner in the Foreign Ministry here marking the National Mourning Day.
Earlier, Momen hoisted the national flag half-mast and paid tribute to the Bangladesh founding father at Foreign Service Academy in the capital, a foreign ministry press release said.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam and Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen were present along with the high officials of the ministry.
They also offered a special prayer at the Foreign Ministry’s mosque, seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members who were brutally assassinated at the black night of 15 August in 1975.
