PM mourns death of eminent artist Murtaja Baseer
DHAKA, Aug 15, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted artist Murtaja Baseer, an awardee of the Ekushey Padak.
In a message of condolence, the premier said, “The contribution made by Murtuja Baseer for development of the country’s fine arts will inspire the future generations.”
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Murtaja breathed his last at the intensive care unit (ICU) of a city hospital this morning.
