Jail up to 3 months, fine or both for selling or handover railway ticket to other
DHAKA, Aug 13, 2020 (BSS) – People will have to face jail up to three months, fine or both if he allegedly handover or sell his own railway travel ticket to other, said an official release of the Railway Ministry here today.
“If anyone handover or sell his own railway travel ticket, return ticket or fixed term ticket to other will have to face imprisonment up to three months, monetary fine or both”, said the release.
At the same time, the ticket buyer who will try to travel on the railway using other tickets would be charged with extra fair equivalent with the amount of his single travel.
The railway has requested all to collect their own tickets through online or mobile apps and never to travel on the railway with other tickets.
