Five neo-JMB militants remanded in Paltan blast case
DHAKA, Aug 12, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed five members of banned militant outfit neo-JMB to seven-day remand in a case lodged over a bomb blast in capital’s Paltan area on July 24.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohmmad Jasim passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place them on 10-day remand in the case lodged with Paltan Police Station.
The accused are Sheikh Mohammad Naimuzzaman, 26, Sanaul Islam Sadi, 28, Rubel Ahmed, 28, Abdur Rahim Jewel, 30, and Sayem Mirza, 24.
Police’s Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit arrested the accused from Sylhet on August 11.
