SAVAR, Aug 10, 2020 (BSS)- Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Professor Dr Farzana Islam on Monday expressed profound shock at the death of renowned music composer Alauddin Ali.
In a condolence message, the VC recalled the glorious career of Alauddin Ali and said his death has created a vacuum in the arena of culture which is an irreparable loss to the country’s music industry.
Dr Farzana prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Alauddin Ali, the eight-time National Film Award winner and a legendary music director, breathed his last at a hospital in the capital on Sunday around 6:20pm at the age of 69.
