KHULNA, June 28, 2018 (BSS) – Director General of the Anti-Corruption
Commission (ACC) Mahmud Hassan today stressed the need for boycotting corrupt
people socially aiming to root out graft from the society.

“Do not keep any relation with them and do not give invitation to the
persons involved in graft,” he said while exchanging views with government
officials, members of Anti-Corruption Prevention Committees and civil society
members at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room here.

Recalling the role of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman, Mahmud said Bangabandhu had urged people to boycott corrupt people
socially and asked to send information about dishonest men through postcard
so that countrymen to know about them.

Observing that corruption would not be checked by trial, he said all
should raise their voice against graft in this regard.

“Corruption can’t be removed from the society without social agitation,”
Mahmud said, urging participants to come forward to create an anti-graft
social movement to make the society free from the social menace.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Moniruzzaman, Additional Divisional
Commissioner Md Faruk Hossain and Civil Surgeon ASM Abdur Razzak were, among
others, present at the matting.
