Mobile court sentences 247 people in Khulna on July
KHULNA, Aug 09, 2020 (BSS) – Khulna District Administration has realised Taka 3,63,905, imprisoned 247 people and filed 244 cases after conducting 91 mobile courts in last month (July).
Additional District Magistrate Yousup Ali disclosed it at a monthly meeting of the Law and Order Committee here today with Deputy Commissioner Md Helal Hossain in the chair.
The meeting was held through online by using Zoom technology.
Helal Hossain asked all government officials concerned to take action against the health guidelines violators and ticket price hikers of public transports during the coronavirus pandemic. He also asked for not issuing any passport without taking birth registration to prevent fraud.
Stressing on elaborate road marking on the Khulna-Satkhira highway to combat road mishap, the Deputy Commissioner lauded officials and employees of the government for keeping a peaceful environment while distributing the government assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DC also hailed law enforcement agencies for keeping a peaceful law and order situation in previous months.
Terming killers will go punished at city’s Moshiali village, the DC said special drives will begin to recover illegal arms and ammunition from the den of terrorists and remained criminals will arrest who were involved the triple murder here.
Police Superintendent, Additional District Magistrate, Civil Surgeon, Upazila Chairmen, Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO’s) and government officials of different departments joined the meeting, among others.
