Razib shares 3rd position in Annual World Open Chess
DHAKA, Aug. 9, 2020 (BSS)-Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib of Bangladesh secured 4.5 points and sharing the third position along with other four players in the 48th Annual World Open Chess tournament now being held at the online chess platform Internet Chess Club (ICC).
Razib won his sixth round game against 2641 rated Russian Grandmaster Anton Demchenko.
Organized by the Continental Chess Association, the sixth round games were held Saturday night with GM Razib played with black pieces.
Earlier, in the last night of the fourth round game, GM Razib split points with Erick Zhao and bounced back to beat Kenneth Patrick in the fifth round.
The seventh round games are scheduled to start tonight at 11 pm (BST).
