Training for agriculture officers held in Narsingdi
NARSINGDI,June 28, 2018 (BSS) – A four-day training course for Sub-
Assistant Agriculture Officers (SAAO) on emerging newly released technologies
and socio-environmental safeguard ended at the training room of Deputy
Director’s office of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) here.
Different modern agricultural technologies like vermicompost, rice
transplanter, rice reaper, vegetable cultivation on floating bed, dry seed
bed, dowax cocoanut cultivation, sex feromon trap, organic, safe and eco-
friendly crop cultivation were discussed during the training programme.
Golam Mohammad, Additional Director of DAE training wing; Latafat
Hossain, Deputy Director, DAE Narsingdi; Dr Mohit Kumar Dey, District
Training Officer of DAE, Narsingdi; Dr Jamal Uddin, DAE Additional Deputy
Director, Narsingdi; and Dr Shafayet Ahmed Siddiqui, Additional Deputy
Director (Crop), Narsingdi; were the resource persons of the training.
A total of 60 agriculture officers from six upazilas of the district took
part in the two batch training course.
