3 JMB men held in Chapainawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 28, 2018 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(Rab) arrested three suspects of banned Islamic militant outfit Jamaatul
Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) from a guava orchard at Chattigram under
Chapainawabganj sadar upazila early this morning.
The arrestees are Md Harunur Rashid, 48, son of Bisharad Ali of Chatra
village; Md Abdur Rahman, 56, son of late Gias Uddin of Chakla village; and
Md Golam Azam, 39, son of Samsuddin of Koilar Diar village under Shibganj
upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
Acting on a tip off, Rab officials said, an operation team of Rab-5 from
Rajshahi raided the aforesaid area at around 12:30 am and arrested them when
they were holding a secret meeting.
During primary interrogation, they admitted to Rab that they were active
JMB members.
