HEROIN-RECOVERY-CHAPAINAWABGANJ
One held with 1.56-kg heroin in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 8, 2020 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged illegal drug peddler with 1.56 kilograms of heroin from Bagdanga village under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila here on Fridayy evening.
The arrested was identified as Md. Sirajul Islam, 40 of Chandlai Jorbagan area under Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB sources said, acting on secret information, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the frontier Bagdanga area around 7.30 pm and arrested Sirajul with the heroin worth about Taka 1,60 crore.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj Sadar Thana with a case.
