Standing Committee on Housing and Public Works Ministry meets
DHAKA, 08 August 2020, (BSS)- The 11th meeting of theParliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Housing and Public Works was held today at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Committee chairman Engineer Mosharraf Hossain presided over the meeting, said a release issued here.
Committee members Narayan Chandra Chanda, Bazlul Haque Harun, Md Monowar Hossain Chowdhury, Anwarul Ashraf Khan, Begum Farida Khanam also participated in the meeting.
Deep grief was expressed over the death of the late MPs and prayers were offered for the forgiveness of their souls, before the meeting.
The work statements of the 10th meeting were approved during the meeting.
A detailed discussion was held on “Gazipur Development Authority Bill 2020” aimed at establishing an authority to build a modern, well-planned industrial and attractive tourist city comprising Gazipur and adjoining areas, added the release.
During the meeting, it was held that the decision on the bill will be held on the next meeting.
Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Chief Engineer of the Department of Housing and Public Works and other senior officials, Chairman of the National Housing Authority, Chairman of RAJUK, senior officials of the Ministry of Law and concerned senior officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were present, at the meeting.
