Needy women to get cash, sewing machines on birth anniversary of Bangamata
DHAKA, Aug 06, 2020 (BSS)- In order to provide financial assistance and create employment for the women affected by the global epidemic, cash and sewing machines will be provided to the needy women on the occasion of 90th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira today told a press conference that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will join a function as the chief guest on the occasion of 90th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa at 10.30 am on August 8 on a virtual platform from Ganobhaban in the city.
There the premier will inaugurate the cash and sewing machines distribution programme, Indira added.
Besides, one hundred laptops will be distributed among the poor meritorious students of Gopalganj district marking the birth anniversary of Bangamata.
