ATU arrests an Ansarullah Bangla Team member from Jhinaidah
DHAKA, Aug 6, 2020 (BSS) – The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Bangladesh Police arrested a member of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from Jhinaidah’s Kaliganj upazila area yesterday afternoon.
The arrestee was identified as Md Sajib Hussain, 26, according to release issued by the ATU.
The ATU team conducted an operation at Kaliganj thana areas and arrested him yesterday afternoon. The team also recovered two mobile phone sets from his possession, it said.
The release said during the interrogation after the arrest, Sajib said they had been running online based anti-state campaign to establish “Khilafat” in Bangladesh through bloody war.
Necessary legal measures were taken against Sajib.
