6,507 cases filed, Tk 47 lakh realized for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, June 28, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets filed 6,507
cases for traffic rule violation on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It also realized over Taka 47 lakh as fine from owners during the period,
said an official release.
The DMP traffic also dumped 65 vehicles and wrecked 1,289 others.
Of the total 3,205 cases filed on Tuesday, 307 cases were lodged for
driving on wrong sides, 49 for using hydraulic horn, six for using hotter and
beckon light and 13 others for using tinted glass.
It also took legal action against 1,328 motorcycles and seized 68 others
on Tuesday for traffic rule violation.
