3 drug-peddlers held with heroin, phensedyl in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Aug 5, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 830 grams of heroin and 91 bottles of phensedyl here today.
RAB sources said the arrested persons were identified as Abdul Mannan, 30, son of Montu Sheikh, Habibur Rahman, 37, son of late Moyen Uddin and Ajahar Ali, 28, son of Ansar Ali.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Biswanathpur area under Godagari Police Station in the district and arrested Abdul Mannan with 830 grams of heroin red-handed around 10.40 am.
In another drive, the RAB members arrested the two others with 91 bottles of phensedyl from Namajgram village under Puthiya upazila around 11.30 am.
Two separate cases were recorded with the respective police stations in these connections and the arrested persons with the seized contraband goods were handed over to police.
