CHATTOGRAM, Aug 4, 2020 (BSS) – Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) today announced a budget of Taka 2436.30 crore for 2020-2021 fiscal providing detailed data on the city’s past, present and future action plans.
Announcing the budget in presence of CCC ward councilors, officials and journalists at Chattogram Club Auditorium, Mayor A J M Nasir Uddin said no new tax has been imposed in the budget.
“The city dwellers have a lot of expectations and CCC is constantly striving to meet those expectations. In order to increase the civic facilities, the financial capacity of the city corporation has to be increased,” he said.
It is a development-oriented one aiming at providing better civic amenities to the city dwellers,” he added.
The mayor also announced Taka 1447.93 crore 82 thousand revised budget for the 2019-20 fiscal.
In reply to a question, city Mayor said the proposed budget is practical but not an ambitious one.
