Anisul for upholding spirit of Naren Das

DHAKA, Aug 03, 2020 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today called for keeping the spirit of former Secretary of Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Naren Das alive, saying it would be the best way to pay homage to him.

“We cannot let his legacy vanish. Naren was very loyal and sincere to his work. He was an honest, humble and devoted follower of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” the law minister said.

Anisul Huq said these while addressing a remembrance meeting organized by the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division for its late secretary, virtually, an official release said.

Presided over by Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Secretary (current charge) Md Moinul Kabir and conducted by Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division joint secretary Dr Md Zakerul Abedin, the meeting was also addressed by Law Commission Chairman Justice ABM Khairul Haque, National Human Rights Commission Chairman Nasima Begum, Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar and Naren Das’s wife Mitali Rani Das, among others.

Naren Das, 56, died of coronavirus (Covid-19) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital on July 21.
