Police recover arms, ammunitions in Khulna

KHULNA, Aug 3, 2020(BSS) – Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Khulna Metropolitan Police recovered two shooter guns, two bullets and three cartridges from Moshiali village under Khanjahan Ali Police Station in the city last night.

As per confessional statement of Zafrin Sheikh, an accused criminal of a double murder case, a DB Police team unearthed three rounds of fired cartridges from a graveyard behind his residence, said Kanai Lal Sarker, additional deputy commissioner of KMP (media).

The DB team also recovered two shooter guns and two bullets wrapped with polythene into a plastic bag from a ditch behind once Sarder residence, he said.

Zafrin Sheikh, 32, son of late Hasan Ali Sheikh of Moshiali village who is now under Police custody of a double murder case.

A Khulna court last week granted Zafrin seven days remand after cancelling his bail petition of the case.

On July 17, two youths Lokman and Rasul were gunned down at Moshiali village in the city. On the next day a case was filed with Khanjahan Ali Police Station against some people including Zafrin Sheikh.
