RCC removes sacrificial animal waste within eight hours
RAJSHAHI, Aug 2, 2020 (BSS) – Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has removed cent percent wastes of sacrificial animals by early today presenting a safe, neat and clean atmosphere to the city dwellers this morning.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman accompanied by some of his ward councilors opened the waste removal programme at Kadirganj Secondary Transfer Station at 6 pm on the Eid-day with the commitment of completing the programme by 2 am and finally succeeded.
The city corporation has also sprayed disinfection at all the slaughtering places of sacrificial animals to contain the pollution amid the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
“From the very beginning, we were committed to remove the wastes within a shortest possible time,” said Mayor Liton, adding that all the ward councilors, officials, staff and workers of the conservancy division worked hard to this end.
