112 tested COVID-19 positive in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, August 1, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 112 people were detected coronavirus positives in the last 24 hours after testing 617 samples at five laboratories in Chattogram district.
Among the newly detected patients, 93 are from Chattogram city and 19 from different upazilas of the district, the hospital sources said.
The total number of infected patients now has stood at 14,451 in Chattogram district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.
Among the total 14451 coronavirus infected patients, 10,116 are the residents of the port city and rests 4326 are residents of different upazilas of the district.
The total number of recovered coronavirus (COVID-19) patients rose to 2234 with healing of 66 more people in the last 24 hours among 14,339 COVID-19 infected people in Chattogram district till 2pm today.
“A total of 2301 coronavirus patients were cured so far and the percentage of recovery rate has stood at 15.87 in the district,” Chattogram district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.
“The healed patients were discharged from different home isolations or dedicated coronavirus isolation hospitals of the district as two consecutive real-time PCR tests were found negative,” he said.
As many as 5323 are undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals in the port city as 2301 got recovery and 232 died while remaining 6695 are undergoing treatment through hotlines and telemedicine services at their homes in the district including city areas”, she added.
