Met office predicts light to moderate rain
DHAKA, July 30, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Metrological Department today predicted that light to moderate rain accompanied with thundershowers is likely to occur at most places over the country as monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
“Light to moderate rain with thunder showers is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur division; at many places over Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions; at a few places over Dhaka Khulna, Rajshahi and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a press release.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, added the release.
Maximum temperature was recorded on Wednesday 33.4 degree Celsius at Tetulia and minimum temperature today was recorded 25.0 degree Celsius jointly at Nikli, Netrakona, Rangamati, Kutubdia and Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall was recorded in the last twenty-four hours till 6am 65millimeters (mm) at Dimla.
Today’s sunset at Dhaka at 06:42 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise at 05:27am.
