MYMENSINGH, July 28, 2020 (BSS) Mymensingh district administration today began a campaign on ‘wear your mask ‘ with basic objective to create massive awareness to save from deadly disease COVID -19 pandemic.
Divisional Commissioner Qumrul Hassan formally inaugurated the campaign through wearing masks to the journalists and pedestrians in front of the Commissioner’s office this morning.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Secretary of the district Awami league Advocate Moazzem Hossain , Vice President of Mymensingh Press Club AZM Imam uddin Mukta, Secretary Omit Roy, Secretary Nagoric Andolon Engineer Abul Kalam, officials, employees of the district administration and journalists were present on the occasion.
Divisional Commissioner in his speech urged all to wear mask compulsorily and to follow the safe health guidelines and other rules , set by the government like frequent washing hands, wearing mask and maintaining social distancing.
He called upon all to come forward to make the campaign successful.
Later, Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner distributed masks among the different professionals.
Deputy Commissioner told BSS that the campaign will continue simultaneously at 20 thousand spots in all 13 upazilas and 10 municipalities of the district.
Meanwhile, Mutagacha Press Club took part in the campaign in front of the Press Club.
President of the club Md. Nazrul Islam Secretary Shafiullah Sarker and other club members participated in the campaign and distributed some masks among the pedestrians and inspired the common people to wear mask for their safe health.
