DHAKA, July 28, 2020 (BSS) – Commerce Ministry has urged all to contribute the country’s economy by removing the skin of sacrificial animals in the right way.

“Skin of sacrificial animals is our important national resource which is the main raw material in the leather products industry. About 50-60 percent of the raw material is collected during the Eid-ul-Azha. Due to improper skinning and environmental protection, 30 percent of the country’s skin is lost every year,” as per a Commerce Ministry notification issued today.

Commerce Ministry urged all to put the skin with salt on a dry place quickly after removing it.

The ministry also urged all to complete the sacrificial work after wearing masks and hand gloves.

The ministry said if 6-7 kg of salt is given well, the skin does not decompose easily, so it can be sold at a good price.
