Two held with 1,480 Yaba tablets in Rangpur
RANGPUR, July 27, 2020 (BSS) – Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested a woman and her son with 1,480 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Uttam Hajirhat area in the metropolis this afternoon.
A special team of DB Police challenged the mother and son while they were carrying a pillow suspiciously there and seized the Yaba tablets specially put inside the pillow and arrested them from the spot at 3 pm.
“The detainees are Shahida Begum, 40, wife of Moksedul Haque and her son Raihan, 18, of village Horkoli in Haridebpur union of Rangpur Sadar upazila,” Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB and Media) Uttam Kumar Pathok told BSS.
Sub-inspector Nazmul Islam of DB Police filed a case in this connection against them with Hajirhat police station.
