Two drug traders killed in Khunla shootout
KHULNA, June 27, 2018 (BSS) – Two alleged drug peddlers were killed in a
shootout between police and their accomplices early today at Bagmara bankers
lane ground under Khulna Kotwali Police Station.
The deceased were identified as Razu, son of Md Babul and Manik Sheikh,
son of Sultan Sheikh, of the city’s Mistripara Khalpar area.
Police recovered one pipe-gun, two rounds of bullet, 150 pieces of yaba
tablet, two machetes and two knives from the spot.
Sub-Inspector Suvendu of Khulna Kotwali Police Station said the deceased
were wanted in five cases, including drugs and extortion cases, with Khulna
Kotwali Police Station.
A total of five cops were injured during the shootout and sent to Khulna
Medical College Hospital (KMCH) for treatment.
Earlier, Razu and Manik were arrested from Dhaka and were brought to
Khulna to recover their hoarded drugs, arms and weapon, Shuvendu said.
