4,621 families in Bandarban receive rice as Eid gift from PM
DHAKA, July 25, 2020, (BSS)- On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha, rice has been distributed among the helpless, unemployed and poor people in Bandarban municipal area as ‘Eid Gift’ from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Rice was distributed among 4,621 families in 9 wards of Bandarban Municipality under the management of the municipality today.
While distributing Eid gifts of the Prime Minister, Bandarban Municipal Mayor Mohammad Islam Baby said, “As per the instructions of the Prime Minister, no one should suffer due to the situation and as an upcoming Eid gift, we have distributed rice among the poor and helpless day laborers.”
The mayor also wished the people a happy Eid-ul-Azha and urged them to be vigilant to protect themselves from the corona virus.
Bandarban Municipality Panel Mayor Dilip Barua, Municipal Councilors Ajit Kanti Das, Abu Khair Abu, Ujla Tanchangya and Thuising Pralubu, and Organizing Secretary of Municipal Juba League Ashutosh Kumar Dey, were present, at the distribution ceremony.
