Tamim off to London for his treatment
DHAKA, July 25, 2020 (BSS)—Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal left Dhaka for England today to see a gastroenterologist in the Herley Street of London and treat his stomach pain, that gradually becomes unbearable for him.
“Tamim is going to see a doctor in Herley Street, in London. He had done the COVID-19 test, which is mandatory for travelling abroad,” BCB’s chief medical officer Debashis Chowdhury said here today.
But Tamim won’t be able to consult the doctor immediately after his landing to London. As per the rules, he would have mandatory 14-day quarantine before getting the permission to move.
Therefore Tamim’s treatment will begin at least two weeks after his arrival in the England.
The stomach ache however affected him to such extent that it became unbearable. He consulted some of the specialists in Bangladesh but no one could clearly identify the problem, leaving Tamim an option to see a doctor in abroad.
Tamim however was at home since the outbreak of COVID-19 and also anchored a popular show ‘Tamim Iqbal’s Live Show’ which created a buzz amongst the cricket fans.
Tamim invited some of the great cricketers like Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Rohit Sharma alongside him Bangladesh
