Momen warns of stern actions against negligence in missions abroad

DHAKA, July 24, 2020 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has warned Bangladesh mission staffers abroad that stern actions would be taken against negligence in delivering services to anybody.

He asked the officials and employees at the Bangladesh missions abroad to provide quality services with ‘smiling face’.

Momen issued the directives to all Bangladesh envoys posted in the European countries at a virtual meeting recently to make sure that no one misbehaves with the service seekers, a foreign ministry press release said here today.

He urged all the envoys to improve quality of the services at their respective missions.

The foreign minister said stern actions will be taken if there is any allegation of negligence in duties, unwillingness to provide services and disrespectful behaviour with the service seekers.

He also instructed the Bangladesh ambassadors to make sure that phone calls to missions are received and responded always.

He urged all missions to take immediate measures by keeping hotline numbers open 24-hour to receive complains right away.
