Three ‘Allahor Dal’ operatives held in Ghoraghat

RANGPUR, July 24, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested three alleged operatives of banned militant outfit ‘Allahor Dal’ from Bagerhat Bazar area in Ghoraghat municipality of Dinajpur on Thursday afternoon.

“A special operational team of RAB-13 in a sudden raid arrested the militants, all hailing from nearby Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district, from the Bazar area,” said a press release issued by Media Officer of RAB-13 Senior ASP Siddique Ahmed today.

The elite force seized huge leaflets, jihadi books, cash money, four mobile phone sets and SIM Cards from the possessions of the arrested persons during the raid.

The militants were arrested as per information delivered by their three other cohorts arrested earlier by the force earlier from Gobindaganj municipality area in Gaibandha on last February 20 at night.

The arrestees were identified as Md. Biplob Hossain, 33, of village Phulhar, Nur Mohammad alias Toffael Alam alas Shimu, 32, of village Buzruk Boalia and Md. Mowla Miah, 40, of village Phulhar in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district.

During interrogation, the detainees confessed that they had been regularly collecting new members and money for running organizational activities of the militant organisation in Gaibandha area for a long time.

“After filing a case, the elite force handed the detainees over to Gobindaganj Thana police in Dinajpur,” the release said, adding that further investigation continues to nab other absconding members of the banned organisation.
