Fisherman electrocuted to death in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, July 23, 2020 (BSS)- A fisherman died and another sustained injuries after electrocution in Godagari Upazila area in the district today.
The deceased was identified as Rabi Das, 60, a resident of Ramnagar village under the same upazila. Raju Das, 30, was undergoing treatment in Rajshahi Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.
According to police and hospital sources, they met the tragic accident when they came in contact with a live electric wire in front of Godagari Model Police Station around 10.30 am. They were returning house after fishing in the Padma River.
They were rushed to the nearby Godagari 31-bed Hospital where the attending doctors declared Rabi Das dead.
