Amendment of laws to be applicable in AFC Cup matches
DHAKA, July 22, 2020 (BSS)-The International Football Association Board (IFAB) brought some amendments of law of the games in a temporary basis due to Covid-19 situation and this amendment will be applicable in the upcoming AFC Cup matches.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) issued a circular on Tuesday last in this regards conveying the message to its member states.
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag through a video message today said a football club can change number of their players five times as substitute instead of three players in a match and these players can be changes three times in the ground. If both teams want to changes players at the same time, both teams will be considered to have changed player at one time.
One more player can be changed those matches which will roll into extra time. The duration of extra time of the match is thirty minute.
Besides, a club will have to complete their players and Officials registration procedure by October 8, fifteen days before the south zone AFC Cup tournament to be held in Maldives.
A club will able to register maximum to minimum thirty five to eighteen players and on the match day a club can register maximum eighteen players.
Besides, the each participating clubs will have to give their new-jersey number keeping their registered players’ old jersey number unchanged.
