Tk 35 lakh grants distributed among FFs in Rangpur

RANGPUR, July 22, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur district unit command of
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad (BMS) today distributed over Taka 35
lakh as grants from its own resources among 800 freedom fighters (FFs)
of the district.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan distributed cheques for the
grants among the FFs in the district and Rangpur city in a function
arranged abiding by the health directives at District Muktijoddha
Complex (DMC) Bhaban in the metropolis as the chief guest.

Presided over by former District Unit Commander of BMS Mosaddek
Hossain Bablu, freedom fighters Sadrul Alam Dulu, Md. Golam Mostafa,
Md. Matiar Rahman, Haji Md. Atiar Rahman, Md. Mahbubur Rahman and Md.
Akbor Hossain addressed the function.

Former leaders of the district, city and all eight upazila units of
BMS of the district, civil society members, socio-cultural and
political activists, journalists and local elite were present.

Mosaddek Hossain said the district unit command of BMS launched the
unique initiative for the first time since 2014 to ensure welfare of
the freedom fighters with incomes being earned from District
Muktijoddha Complex Bhaban.
