2 drug peddlers held with yaba, ganja in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, July 22, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 384 yaba tablets and 1.8 kilograms of ganja here last night.
According to the RAB sources, the arrested persons were identified as Shaheen Mian, 25, son of Habibur Rahman and Sirjul Islam, 27, son of Reajul Islam.
A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in Vadra area under Matihar Police Station in Rajshahi city and arrested Shaheen Mian with 384 yaba tablets around 9.30 pm red-handed, RAB sources said here today.
Another RAB team arrested Sirajul Islam with 1.8 kilograms of ganja from near his house at Kuhar village in Durgapur Upazila around 8.30 pm.
Two separate cases were recorded with the respective police stations and the arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to police.
