DHAKA, July 21, 2020 (BSS) – Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated across the country on August 01 (Saturday), as the new moon of the Arabic month of Zilhaj was not sighted in Bangladesh sky today.
This was informed after a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office after Maghrib prayers, a press release said.
The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Nurul Islam.
