Abducted schoolgirl rescued from Nawabganj
DHAKA, July 21, 2020 (BSS) – Police rescued a schoolgirl from Nawabganj area of the capital on Monday, who was allegedly abducted from Mirpur’s Shewrapara area on Saturday.
Police also arrested Sifat, 20, on the charge of kidnapping the girl from the spot.
“We rescued her after conducting a raid at Sifat’s village home at Nawabganj on Monday morning,” DMP’s Kafrul police sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Sohail Rana said.
Sifat used to harass the schoolgirl on her way to and from school and coaching every day and often tried to talk to her by blocking her way, police said.
Sifat abducted the girl on Saturday and took her to his village home at Nawabganj.
