DHAKA, July 21, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office release here.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 34.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Jashore and Madaripur and minimum temperature today 24.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 122 millimeters (mm) at Tarash.
