RAJSHAHI, July 21, 2020 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 35 kilograms of ganja from Shibtala Malopara area in Chapainawabganj town last night, RAB sources said here today.
The arrested persons were identified as Muhammad Rabbi, 27, son of Ayub Ali and Rabiul Islam, 19, son of Nasir Uddin. Both are the residents of Rajshahi city area.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area around 9.30 pm and arrested them with the huge ganja after searching a truck, RAB sources said, adding that the team also seized the truck.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized car and contraband goods were handed over to police.
A case was filed with Chapainawabgonj Sadar police station for this connection.
