Ansar-VDP inaugurates tree plantation in Khulna marking ‘Mujib Year’
KHULNA, July 20, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Ansar and VDP in Khulna range launched tree plantation campaign as a part of celebration of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Director of Ansar-VDP Khulna Range Mollah Amjad Hossain inaugurated the tree plantation program on its office premises here yesterday afternoon.
While opening the tree plantation programme, Amjad Hossain said Ansar-VDP will play a pivotal role in implementing the initiative of ‘planting one crore saplings’ marking ‘Mujib Year’ which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Later, he planted and distributed saplings among the Ansar and VDP members.
District Commandant Hafiz Al Moammad Gaddafi, Assistant District Commandant Mohammed Mirajul Islam Khan and concerned officers and staff of the force were present at that time.
Under the tree planting program, a total of 10,000 saplings will be planted in the Ansar and VDP’s own land, on the premises of the club-association and on both sides of the government road in each districts of Khulna Range.
